Default Homelink programming

I own a 2003 9-3 ARC and am trying to program its remote control with an "Overhead Door" garage door opener with a "rolling code" system.

I go through each of the steps listed in the car user's manual and get all the appropriate flashes and sequences. I even downloaded the identical action-steps from the Homelink site and followed them to the "t" without result. I have placed the vehicle right underneath the door opener to ensure minimum distance, have tried different transmitters to program the remote control, have tried each of the three buttons on the remote control, etc. etc.
Am I missing something or does anyone know of a particular problem affecting the Saab's remote control when trying to program it with the Homelink system?

Would appreciate any help.

Thanks.

Juan

I am not sure where to find the info but there is a fuse for you to remove in the rear panel that prevents some sort of electrical interferance in the learning proccess.

Search is your friend.

Good luck.

This may sound silly but was your car turn on (power) when you tried to execute the homelink? I noticed the homelink must not have reserve power - other than for memory (vs function like you door locks and seat memory) - so it will not work unless you turn your car on.

Now I'm the idiot, I didn't even know this was an option. Where is the button for a garage door opener?

If you have the autodimming mirror it has 3 programmable garage door buttons on it.

I should give this a try. The odd thing is....I got to the point where I would see the "solid light", so the button is still programmed. I just need to get to the learning mode, do the rest of it.

I presume we place the fuses back in again? :-)
