Default New rack, Genuine Clamp & Brace & Genuine Poly Steering Rod Bushings Installed Today!

Today I finished installing the rebuilt rack from carsteering.com. I replaced the MPP Clamp and brace with Genuine's and installed the steering rod poly bushings as well... Removing the old steering rod bushings was a ton of fun and the job itself took some time but overall pretty straightforward and easy. Pics attached.

Does anyone know why the Saginaw "Waffel Style" rack says ZF on it?

It rides a hell of a lot tighter! Like I mentioned, I had the MPP Clamp prior, and although I had to add some rubber to it, i noticed a huge improvement from the stock clamp. Obviously the Genuine Clamp is far superior in both construction and looks but I think that the overall improvement that I am currently noticing is the fact that my steering rack rods are no longer moving vertically. The rack is very tight and the poly bushing's minimize additional play.

The most difficulty I had was disconnecting and reconnecting the pressure hoses to the rack. They are in a very awkward location but If I had a very long 17MM wrench, it would not have been as bad. If you access the lower driver side clamp bolt from the wheel well, it is much easier to access. I did the job by myself but an extra hand maneuvering the rack would have been helpful. Also, I took Saboheme's advice and sprayed all the bolts with PB Blaster. If you are going to upgrade the bushings to poly's, expect some aggravation prying the old one's out...

I believe the "ZF" is for ZF Lemfoder (SP?), they are a parts vendor for alot of car makers.

The reason i ask is because I have been told that this rack ("waffel style" larger diameter) is the Saginaw rack and it is clearly made by "ZF".
