I painted it with Duplicolors engine enamel... The engine bay is different now (more stuff is painted), but here's an older pic:

I lucked out and found a pretty sweet heated two car garage to rent sort of near where I live (since I live in an apartment, can't do a lot of stuff there...) and the guy that must have been there before (like 15 years ago) must have been a huge car guy, as the garage is set up wonderfully with cabinets and counters and a really nice work area. Plus, I co-rented it with a buddy (who is a certified MECP master installer (he works for Best Buy corporate now) who had A LOT of good tools (putting my small set to shame - that's his MAC Tech 1000 in the background), so that definitely helped. As well. He also donated a couch.
