sound deadener in trunk area

driving the car more lately and this is one thing i've wanted to address for a long time. our cars are notorious for the road noise, no matter what tires you have. i also know there's a tsb of some sort to install a sound proofing mat in the back. i was wondering if those sound deadeners / fatmat kits on ebay might do a better job. does anybody happen to have that tsb for the road noise?
