Air Bag Warning Light

Hello there.
I have a AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT turned on.
Any advice how to clear it from the dashboard and more importantly does it mean that AIR BAG would not pop up in the case of accident.

AFAIK you can only reset this light with a tech-2. Other than that these are usually clock spring problems.

The air bag warning light can only be cleared with a Tech 2 IF the fault is resolved.

As the air bag system is part of the safety system, it can not be reset by disconnecting the battery or any other method.

So how could I fix it, not just clear the warning light do you know?
Or I should ask what causes the warning light to come on and how it could be resolved?
Does AIR BAG actually works right now while the light is on?

I am sorry but what do you mean by "clock spring problems" and do you know if Airbag is still working while this light is on.

Without knowing the cause, there is no way to know.

It could be a side air bag that is the problem.
You need to have someone check it with a Tech 2 to see what the actual cause of the error is.
Only then can you really do something.
And yes, the other air bags will still work ... but you have no idea what one won't.

If it is the clockspring, that is the wiring harness that powers the steering wheel air bag and all of the controls on the wheel.
One of those wires (either the air bag or controls) could be gone and the other still work ...

Get it checked out.
