Console buttons peeling away..

Does anyone know how to fix the black coating that peels away from the console buttons? Or at least make it less noticeable?

Or am I the only one that this has happened to?

It drives me crazy!

I don't know why it happened. It's like a thin rubbery plastic coating kind of flaking off and wrinkling. Maybe its from the heat I'm not sure. It's not like I'm harsh on my console either. She's my baby..

But I'll search and see what I come up with. Thanks!

Okay, I was giving you a hard time - peeling buttons are quite common. The only real fix is to replace the panel that the affected buttons are on; unfortunately the buttons are not available individually. So if one or two of the climate control buttons are bad, the entire button array needs to be replaced. Some have used a Sharpie and other things to mask the peeling in order to avoid the high cost of replacing the control panels.

Its ok man........I've searched before asking some questions that were talked about over and over and blew right past the post. lol. I have tried to stay away from the white symbol part on the button and using the insides of my knuckles when using the air controls. I dunno the less contact the better.

not plastering with all these dash shine chemicals will help alot..
