Are '03+ 9-3 bumpers interchangeable?

Just need a quick answer. Have an '03, found an 05 bumper for sale. Will it work? I know the headlight squirters are different - are they interchangeable?

Interchangable yes - not sure about the pop ups vs the warts. You could always change the pipes to put them on the warts instead.

I'm at work at this moment but this evening I could check the part numbers. Yesterday I worked on a 9-3 ('03) bumper and the hole for the squirter seemed rather large for a bumper with warts. I think they are different. But I can check for you.

Part numbers are different

2003 ; 127 87 218
2003 ; 127 69 709 Two different numbers for 2003, both for bumper covers (with pop up headlight washers) that can be painted. I can't figure out what the difference between the two is, but in the latter there is the following reference to a news bulletin; PartNo : 12769708: See PI 08-1-2006, Hot News Second Line Bumper Covers 9-3, Issue 2005-12-29.

2004 - 2006 ; 128 64 116 One number for the covers with warts.

I have an 03. Bumper is damaged. Found an 05 for sale. Wondering if it will work. It's pretty simple.

I would seriuosly consider the 05 bumper and change the washer system. The 03 pop up things are pretty vulnerable I think.

I saw one on ebay. This is the 2004 up type (upper) and it's definitely different. The hole for the wart is smaller than in the 2003 type (below).

instead of buying a replacement bumper, you should just buy the RealCar bumper from genuinesaab
