Hi , i am a first time Saab owner and i love my 9-3, but i would like to add a few horses if it was inexpensive and safe. Does anyone know how many PSI of boost is safe to run and my car, and what are the negative effects or risks if any? I would appreciate any help on the matter.

I have a Hybrid manual boost controller from www.dawesdevices.com for my 95 900se. However its not yet installed. From what I understand there are really no downsides. I doubt your car has the same fuel cut level as one as old as mine, but if you accidently over boost the thing, fuel is cut at like 15.5 psi.

2000 9-3? That's sounding pretty T7-ish to me. If you install an MBC in the same way as the guys with T5, your ECU will probably get very angry. The only way I have ever heard of an MBC being installed in a T7 is with a "series" install. I don't know how to do this though. You may want to find out before making a purchase. Go to www.saabnet.com and search under both the "9-3" and the "performance" forums for "T7 MBC". You may find some info there. Hope this helped.
