Default Saab 9-3 2005 handbrake lever adjustment

I have recentley bought a Saab 9-3 1.9tid 150 2005 i have fitted new brake pads on the rear but the handbrake lever still seems to come up a long way

can the lever itself be adjusted inside the car as with the previous 9-5

i have just sold after doing 131000 miles in it

yours sincerely BRAKEY NEW USER

Saabs of the past did have a direct tie-in..no more..its an independent system, if it is similar to the older 900ng and 9-3og..

can the lever itself be adjusted inside the car as with the previous 9-5 That would be nice, and more Saab like..
But, I fear it is a case of betting down, getting under and getting dirty...hope I am wrong about this..

Welcome to Saab Central, Brakey. Good buy, the Diesel, our environmentalists and their supporters say no on this issue....

Handbrake cable adjustment is done from under the car IIRC.

Doesn't stand for the Saab 9-3 IRC, the 4.0 V-8 version.

IIRC probably stands "if I recall correctly".
