Hi,
On My 9000 my power brakes stopped working. The car has not been driven for about 6 months and now the power brakes dont work. I can still brake but it is hard.. How can this be fixed? thanks, to all. Mati

Well this might seem obvious, but have you checked the power brake fluid level? If it was a manual I'm quite sure this is shared with the transmission, for clutch, so if the brakes went the clutch would likely be hard to press too, but as you're dirivng an auto this is not the case.

So nobody know what could the problem be?
It is pretty dangerous to drive without power brakes.... its a heavy car. :-) thanks, Mati

Do you have ABS? If so the power brake is the hydraulic ABS unit and expensive to repair. ATE generation 1 used the ABS accumulator as the source of the servo assistance unlike other systems that retain the standard vacuum servo.
If not then the brake booster is vacuum operated and either the vacuum line is broken or the servo unit itself is leaking. |

Could it be some of the calipers have seized in the 6 months not being driven? or all partially seized - does it pull to any one side at all?
