Too big?? Borla Dual Exhuast for me??

Check this out..... These are from a STS caddy, Borla mufflers. Got them pretty cheap 6 inch tips. Just kinda trying to picture if this is gonna work or not....

it could work, but 6" just seems so massive to me....

each tip is 3" in diameter and it looks just the right size if not a little too big.

Wow, 6 inch tips are huge... I'm not sure what the sts has stock, but those would still seem massive for the car, given the sts is a much larger vehicle than the 9-3ss.

If i was you i wouldn't go 6". Thats huge, i just had my exhaust done and i was debating between 4" or 5". I had the 5" put in place and imo it looked too wacky. I will try and post some pictures of the 4" tips i had installed i think they are the perfect size for our cars. Obviously its always going to be a matter of personal opinion but, just for reference, most diesel 18 wheelers come stock with 5" stacks. 6" is pretty big for our little rides man

Well I just measured them, they are actually 5 inch tips....which i think are still a little too big, but I was hoping after i cut the bumper and they get tucked underneath that it'll look ok......i just hate it when you wait for a week for your parts and get all excited and then dont' get to install them

these are the hirsch dual tip for the aero on mine..

internal dia 3.5" external 4"..

I say go for it! I think they may look better when they are installed. here is a little photoshop of your car with them installed. Kind of looks like a nissan Z or BMW M3 set up.

my preference is to not have any of the muffler body showing in profile and not too much visible from behind. if it were me and i could get it tucked up like that i would be cool with it.

i was thinking too big when i saw this earlier, but the guy who did the photoshop made it look okay.

haha looks kinda close... I went for it today and installed them.. Wow they sound nice! I prefer over magnaflow for sure.... Once i get the decor kit i'll have the mufflers sit higher up... btw nice photo shop work

Haha....ya been too lazy to wipe it up... but it's gone now. I mean honestly, they are a bit on the big size..... but i only paid 178.00 shipped for both and had everything installed for 190.00. So paying 368.00 for everything ain't half bad...... I'll have some clips of the sounds up soon. I'm gonna have to say that Borla sounds a little bit better than magnaflow on the saab.....course that's my opinion.
