couple odd things

so today i jsut bought a saab 2003 saab 95 linear....which is totally am in love with. but i got home and checked the things i didnt think about while i was at the dealership...which is 6 hours away. first of all my trunk lid wont open from the remote, w/e i press the button the lights flash but the trunk doest open. and if i turn the blower on the heater up past 3 or 4 bars i start to hear an odd noise, almost like a grinding. any help would be apperactive.

If you don't hear a click when you press the trunk button it would suggest there is either a wiring issue or the solenoid for the lock is not working, its mounted in the lower lock mechanism.

The grinding in the heater motor could be as simple as a twig has fallen down the side of the air supply vents for the fan. If its not that, the previous owner could have replaced the fan at some point, and not installed it squarely and its slightly out of balance making it rub against the fan motor mount.

For your trunk latch problem, check the wiring where the harness goes past the trunk lid hinge, it could have been pinched/worn/broken.
