ebay. the seller has regular colored saab decals, but send him a message and ask for the black one. he'll tell you to bid on the regular color and attach a note with payment that you want the black one. you can even get the large emblem, which we have, but with the 'scania' text, which ours dont have.

Lightbulb Custom Emblem

http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/sh...ghlight=emblem

I purchased the Sweden Flag 65mm SAAB Badge after winning some serious bidding...can't say I thought the quality was worth what I ended up paying.

I concur with what Nickshu wrote:

"I bought one awhile back. They are not as nice looking as in the picture....the colors are not very vibrant...a little light.

The emblem is FLAT, not contoured so to install it on our cars you need to get some thick doublesided tape.

Otherwise it's a cool emblem, just not as nice as I was expecting. It is NOT an OEM Saab emblem with a new facing, it's just a flat brass badge with the emblem attached, so it has no contours like your OEM badge does."

I did not install mine.

I bought the Swedish flag emblem too - and I'm not even Swedish ;-)

And I too agree - in fact, I was disappointed enough that I never installed them. Was going to put them back on eBay. Faded looking and flat - the original emblem is nicer and I had the dealer replace the peeling one.

Lightbulb Hint, Hint

Just imagine if there was a Company out there that did provide quality replacement versions like he offers , except to OEM badge standards. That company would be rich.

I did mine in vinyl, but I removed all lettering and kept the Griffin logo only. I also put a clear vinyl on top to prevent it from peeling. You could also clear coat it instead, but you need something on there because of the fine details. It'll peel for sure if it's left bare.

I'll get some close-up pictures on here when I go home shortly.

All I did was cut a black circle to cover the existing blue one. On top of that is a layer of white, red and gold for the griffen. Then I put a layer of clear vinyl to cover it.

If you have the correct file on computer for each different layer, you could have a local vinyl shop cut them for you. If you can't do that or don't want to go through the trouble, I could do it for you, I just don't know how much it's worth right now.

I could take more close-up pictures if anybody is interested.

Question What do you think

From the photos above, I would like the Emblems with the Swedish Flag for my 2003 9-3SS ARC and my wife prefers the Red Emblems for her 2005 9-7X. What do think sex_c_93, can you do it? Let me know.

Well unfortunately I wouldn't want to take on the other designs.

What's wrong with those anyways? They look pretty good to me.

I see.

I'll start by making two more decals (front and back) exactly like mine in black. Once they're done, I'll take pictures and display them here. Should be done sometime this week.

The good thing about vinyl is that it's very thin and sticks to the original emblem making it look like OEM.

Wow sex_c_93 that emblem looks niiiiice! My front badge is all but peeled away and I need to get a new one. If you could make me a couple of those I will make it worth your while, that is if you don't mind having another 9-3 in Ottawa with the same emblems as you .

You're in Ottawa, I'd be happy to make some for you, but it might take a little while. I'm ordering a new vinyl cutter and might take a few weeks to get it and all setup. In the meantime, you're welcome to come see mine and decide for yourself if it's what you want.

If yours is peeling, you might have to get a new one before installing the vinyl on top. Vinyl takes the shape of anything underneath so if you have a crack, it will shop up in the vinyl.
