Anyone have any videos on streetfire.net.

Or know of any really good videos on there.

Here's a cool one with a couple of Saab's from the Saab Performance Team.

Here's mine with a 2.0L and a T28

http://www.4shared.com/file/37313151...ified_T28.html

This was with a Viggen I/C. I've since added an ETS and done a bit of tweaking but I doubt it has made any really significant difference.

I will be doing a 1.1 mile video run this Sunday if all goes well.

For comparison, here's my car with the T25 in the same configuration

0-60 is really a moot point, especially with high hp FWD cars. See my rants in other threads

Nice, I get 3:96 seconds from 60-90mph and that is pretty darn good for the t28

Whoa, haven't been on here in a few days..

Hey Dave, what mods were you running in the video of the T25? I've already seen the T28 one but never the T25.

Hey Comtrang,

My mods for the T25 were exactly the same as for the T28 except for the new turbo, the FMU / BAP I added to fuel it, and the ARP studs I installed when I changed it. Also, it was on the stock clutch and trans fluid. The boost was a tad lower (Actually quite a bit lower up top.), peaking at 24PSI or so.

You can see my mods list in the "Your Mods" thread.
http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/sh...66#post1217966

The only changes I've made since the T28 video and "Mods" list on the thread are that I've added an ETS I/C fixed a small exhaust manifold leak and done a bit of final tweaking.

So you're saying the boost was a bit lower up top, so what's it peak at now? Also, is the FMU really necessary for the T28? I know it's pushing quite a bit more air compared to the T25 but man.
Hm..so did you time close to 5.5s for the 60-90 on the T25 vid? Wow. Didn't know my car's current setup was capable of that.

The T28 is holding around 20PSI to actual redline. In my T25 vid, I thought I was near redline when I was shifting but you can see by my T28 vids that redline was still a ways away. What that means is that my T25 was done at or below 6K because the car simply wasn't pulling anymore. At that mark, the T25 was still producing around 15-16PSI on good flowing HW. If I had pushed it to actual redline around 6200, I would guess it would have been down to 11-12PSI. So the T28 is moving a LOT more air up top. The T28 is peaking at 26PSI down low.

Just remember the FMU is the source for all additional fuel over 15.5PSI (fuel cut) In other words, my ECU is only fueling for what it can see which is boost right below cut. The T28 moves about 25-30% more air and my fuel system was maxed out on the T25. So...yep, it's a must unless you are going to do a tuned ECU and injectors.

The way my car is tuned now, 60-90 isn't really a very good measure because it runs from below 4K to only about 5600RPMs. My power peak is at or very near redline I would estimate. So my pull is only getting better as it goes.

Here's a link to my vid from today. We were unable to get the 1.1 mile facility so I had to settle for a run that was only about .9 of a mile. I did however achieve 150MPH in that distance. Also, in comparing my two vids, it's OBVIOUS that the Viggen I/C was holding me back in the later gears. I can't believe the difference in 60-120 and 60-130 times between these two runs. To say the least, I'm ecstatic! 60-90 was pretty close to the same but 60-130 was almost 3 seconds faster after the ETS and some fine tuning.

(For a frame of reference, a stage III Viggen with a large and efficient I/C ran 137MPH in 1.1 miles in 50F weather. My run today was .9 mile in 65F weather.)

Have fun!

Great video, glad that your T28's working out for you.
Did you get your T25 rebuilt or is this one of Jak's pieces?

just one question when you're comparing speeds to apparently "Pades" run you are comparig police radar measured results, not speedo?
The track in Finland is 1,03miles (1650m) where Pades run was made.

My car's speedo, in current configuration, is optimistic by 1.5% as measured by Police Radar. My wheel / tire combination is approximately 1.5% taller which helps to correct the stock speedo inaccuracy which would obviously be approximately 3% if the tires were stock size. The speedo is indicating a bit over 150MPH.

Actually, the run where Pade's car went 137 was 1700M (According to Pade Although IIRC you said 1800M in your original post.) 1700=1.05M 1800=1.11M

Based on the distance traveled between 140 and 150, I would have had room to top 155 calibrated in 1800M. Maybe 153 in 1700M to get technical.

If you ever have a chance to come to Florida, let's go down to my home track in Bradenton. It's the track where the new Speed Channel show PASSTIME is filmed. I GUARANTEE you will NOT have a traction problem there! Awesome track great people, VERY well prepped and only 65 feet above sea level! Your car would be an absolute TERROR there.
