Default Just put on my BOV

Finally got my BOV on my car. I dropped a HKS BOV and my car sounds more aggressive. There was like one custom work that I had to do to put this sucker on and it was where i mounted it. Had to take it to a muffler shop cost me bout like 40 bux to get the flange welded on a pipe, but no biggie..

Default BOV on T8?

Hi,
I understand that BOV will not work on a T8 and also the T7. It works fine on the T5. You will experience rich mixture. This is because your ecu reads a certain amount of air going into your engine from the AirMass Meter. I think there is a dump valve intergrated onto the turbo.

I tried the HKS SSQV BOV in mine 9-5, it produce a beautiful "Star Wars" squealling sound, but it causes idling problems and after a couple of days the CEL appear.

I am only running rich once I release my throttle and having the air pushed through the bov. What I mean by this is that I can drive my car and shift w/o having the air released through the bov unless I am coming to a complete stop. My car isn't running rich all the time. I think sometimes people make mistakes and don't catch leaks which would cause the CEL to go off. (Not saying it will never go off for me cause I ain't perfect) And burning holes in the converter is in EXTREME cases. Even if this were to ever happen I will modify my exhaust and get a new one.

If you gotta have that sound, check out Go Fast Bits....they make hybrid BPV/BOV systems for cars that have an AMM (Like the T7/T8). Some air gets recirculated to keep the ECU happy, some gets vented out so you can scare people on the sidewalks when you shift. It should correct the idle problem, and help preserve your cat and decrease the richness of the fuel mixture.
