Exclamation Oil Pressure Issues

I saw the sticky on everything oil, but i had a specific q about my car. Its a 99 9-3 turbo, and just recently when i was driving the oil pressure light came on, but didnt stay on. It just kinda flickered on and off. It mainly comes on when i am coming to a stop, but not just necessarily when i let go of the throttle. I know that the pressure lowers when at idle but it will even flicker when im driving. If it come on when i just driving if i slightly accelerate it will turn off again, and it hasnt stayed on for an extened period yet. I obviously checked the oil level and this lil sensor plug i have underneath the car, not sure what it is but its got a wire and once leaked some oil, but that isnt loose either. I'm probably gonna drop the pan tommarow and see if that screen is clogged with something. And a side note, is the pick up line in the front or back of the pan? Cause when i slow down abbrubtly is ussualy when it kicks on, so im wondering if there might be something loose in the pan rolling forward maybe to clog up the pick up. Sorry for the long message i like to get it all in there. Thnx

Instead of going through all the trouble to drop the oil pan and look for something your not sure of, why don't you just hook up a mechanical oil pressure gauge kit to verify that there really is oil pressure and that you don't just have a faulty oil pressure sending unit.
