What power steering fluid to use for '94 NG900

Looking to top up the power steering fluid on my '94 900s, can someone tell me what kind of fluid I need to use? It looks like there is a leak around the hose clamp. Does the power steering fluid need to be flushed out periodically? Where is the drain plug?

Whilst the newer ('97 or '98) Saabs may use a more sophisticated PSF(power steering fluid), you older ode justs uses standard GM approved PSF, which most cars use..
Officially the PSF is a so-called lifetime deal... but whose life...
There is no drain plug provided..

Good to know, so basically anything off the shelf? Regarding the hose clamp, do you know what size hose I need? Sounds like a messy job to take that hose off.

Always secure a consensus on this stuff; with impunity I'll tell you about the V4 and two-strokers...I am still learning about these newer ones...and I am not above the field of making mistakes ..
PS hose are usually a proprietary item; check to see what eEuroParts.com has to offer..

I too have a bit of a PSF leak - somewhere; I have had to use about a liter of fluid in the past 3 years...

Earthworm's right, your car uses plain old GM type power steering fluid. You shouldn't need a new hose, just take the return hose off of the reservoir and stick it in a 2-liter pop bottle. Jack the front of the car up so the wheels are off the ground, Turn it on, and turn the steering wheel side to side, but have someone there to dump new fluid in the reservoir as it drains, because it will empty it in seconds!
