Default salvage parts for saab 900s

Greetings All,

I have given up on my local Saab salvage guy. When I spend 2 weeks
gaining entry to my SPG thru the passenger door --- the line is crossed.
He doesn't feel like 45degree weather is warm enough to retrieve the part
& he wouldn't allow me to go fish it off selected wrecked Saab.

Bottom line - I need the door latch mechanism for my driver side door.
In a recent ice storm I somehow managed to break the arm off the
main mechanism when I pulled a little too hard on the release button
of the door handle. I found the broken steel "arm" in the bottom of the
door. No doubt probably in an already weakend state from said years of
use. The passenger side had no issues. I had to open that door to
gain desired access!

Can someone recommend a place I can find a used door latch mechanism for purchase?
I live south of the Kansas City, MO metro area -- so if there is a place
here locally . . . .GREAT . . . . but otherwise I don't mind an internet
establishment if it they are available.

thanx for your consideration,
scott

Find a self-service u-pull junkyard in your area. Probably at least one of them will have a 900 for you
