Hey there guys, I've had my car since 02, and the past year or so the xenon's have been so dim its almost un bearable to drive without the high beams on at all times. I was wondering if any of you guys have had this problem, or what you may think would resolve it. I was thinking either it's the bulbs or maybe the ballasts were bad? I took the bulb out to look at it and the little xenon chamber in the middle of the bulb looks white, not clear. I want to replace them with some Osram 6000k D1s'.
Thanks in advance!

unbearable to drive without the high beams on? it's the same output with high or low beams, just that a shutter adjusts where the light is thrown. i suppose they might be worn in some way, but normally the lights flicker when they are about to die.

Do they seem aimed correctly?

what colour are they? They turn pink when the bulbs die.

I can't imagine that both bulbs would go at the same time that soon! They are supposed to have 8 year lifes.

if the DRLs are active then the life cycle of the xenon bulb is probaly halved. which means for 2002 to 2004 cars the bulbs are likely not as bright as they were when new. i replaced both of my xenon bulbs and noticed a huge improvement in brightness. |
