I did the stereo hard wire mod to use my ipod. I bought a blank tape to use in the deck and it works fine, but once it reaches the end of the tape it auto reverses to the other side causing a momentary loss of sound like you would expect.
If I was to buy one of the cd cassette adaptors would it do the same thing? Or would it just engage the head to make the connection? Also, is one better than the other for sound. Blank tape or adaptor? |

The CD adapter doesn't autoreverse. I bought mine at Best Buy and cut the cord off. It does create some tape deck mechanical noise though. Not sure if they all do that. It's not bad except when cold, and even then it's not very loud. Just annoying that it's the best option with stock deck at this point.

Thanks.
I'm sure the noise is just the same as the blank tape I have in there now minus the autoreverse. 99.9% of the time my tunes are louder than anything in the cabin. If I am not listening to music, the tape is not engaged, but in the deck. Best Buy or Ebay, here I come. |
