So I have determined that my ABS module is on the fritz. These guys seem to be the best source for price, and they are very knowledgeable. www.autoecu.com.
However, there are some other issue that the techs say are not ABS module related. For instance, peridocaly the temp guage will just fall to zero. Turning the car off does nothing. Its like it gets tired and takes a rest for some time, then pops back up. Same thing happens with the gas guage. Anyone have any ideas? I am getting very frustrated with my virgin Saab experience! |

The Temp gage issue is due to a failing Temperature Sensor, on the side of the engine (easy fix, replace for $20 or re-seat $0), and/or Thermostat (a little trickier fix $10). In my case recently, also in a 2003 Linear Wagon with 80,000 Km, it was BOTH.
As for the fuel gage, it's a sensor on the side of the fuel pump that needs to be re-seated. Hit the NIGHT PANEL button to see if that fixes it, if it happens again. Hope that helps. |

I had the temp guage problem too, eventually replaced the thermostat and it fixed the problem.
See post #15 in this thread for the reason of the wierd temp guage. http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=93091 |
