Strange engine behavour ....

My 1999 2.3 SE Auto, 107,000 miles, has started to stall (occassionally) when I stop and change from Drive to reverse, or visa versa. Doesn't happen all the time, is it throttle body (dirty) or could it be a more serious gearbox problem ??

Any suggested causes/solutions would be appreciated.
