My Turbo recently failed on me and had it changed. The car now runs well, no humming sound and power is back on acceleration but the car smokes really bad. It produces a blue smoke followed by a cloud of white smoke on acceleration.
The car does not over heat nor does the smoke smell like coolant. My coolant level has not changed and there is no unusual sounds from the engine. Any ideas besides a bad rebuilt turbo? |

Failing turbos can leave oil in the intercooler, delivery and exhaust pipes.
If your lucky this will burn off. Was the intercooler cleaned out?

As with what Chris said, I have had an experience with replaced turbo smoke syndrome. It took a few hundred clicks of some hard booting to clear it all out. On a 900 T16 I should add. Lots of oil can collect in the intercooler for sure.
