FYI, the 9-3 ranked higher than average in the 2007 Matt's Report.

thats probably because the 9-5 is only 1 redesign away from when saab was still owned by saab... whereas the new 9-3 is starting to turn into your run of the mill GM retrofitted piece of garbage.
If i wanted domestic parts in my saab i would have just bought a chevy |

yes i know but what i mean is that the interior is starting to look like the usual line up of clones that GM pops out all over the world... look at the SID disappearing from 07 on and other stuff like that... i bought my saab because it was a saab... not just another GM clone... as far as mechanicals go... they can do what they want as long as i dont see it... but the interior has to stay saab-like

I was at the dealer for 8 hours yesterday. I got a lot of sit time an 07 9-3 on the showfloor. Very nice! I would just have to say I hate how they use wood effect plastic trim. Think of how much nicer real wood would be?

My '03 9-3 has real wood (veneer) trim. Are you sure it was plastic? I haven't sat in any '07s with wood-like trim so I don't know first-hand.

When I took out my effect wood trim it was hard plastic, and when I looked/tapped the wood trim inside the 07 in the showroom it was plastic as well. The only real trim is the metallic trim, which is actually metal.
