Just bought my first Saab, 2000 9-3 Viggen. Fallen in love, love the power. Decided to get the steering rack clamp & brace from partsforsaabs, just arived today. In the meantime I've been reading up in the forums and I have noticed alot of talk of fire wall cracks, never heard about this before. Is this a common problem and is it more likely to occur with the new clamp & brace? Is there anybody from Ireland out there that experienced this?
Also got no instructions with clamp & brace. Should be there be a rubber bush, even a strip of rubber where the clamp holds the rack? Is there any recommended torque to tighten the nuts to? Some help would be greatly appreciated. |

Welcome Vigken, heres a good link for the NG900 which is nearly the same as yours.
http://photo.platonoff.com/Auto/2005...amp_and_Brace/ There's a sticky at the top of the forum about cracks but I think it will not apply to yours.

Thanks for that. I'm gonna try and put it on this weekend, if it stops raining. It seems straight forward enough (famous last words).
