I bought new H7 bulbs for my 2007 Aero, installed them and they dont work, so I figured ok bad bulbs, well I reinstall the originals and now they dont work!
What the heck is going on?! |

Ok. Dumb question: are your lights on?
Next, did you install them properly? Next, I have no idea. I'd take it to the dealer...bulbs are included under warranty anyway...and they'll likely install your new bulbs at no charge (that's what I always did |

I agree to snowgodCCR's opinion.
Go to dealership. then, check it and change it. It can covers by factory warranty. |

Yea, Front headlight failure, I looked in the manual for fuses, I did see any associated with headlights other than the levelling mechanism

Are you replacing the right bulb? It could be you are replacing the main beam bulb, rather than the one behind the projector lens. A clue is, if you can see the bulb you are replacing clearly, it's the main beam (Full/Flash) rather than the normal headlight behind the projector. Just a thought.

I have the Xenon bulbs, and I have H7 low beams, that come on with the parking lights, these are the ones I was trying to replace. I wasnt touching the Xenon headlamps they still work fine. I have 1 accent light 1 H7 1 Xenon and 1 turn signal bulb in my headlamps, I replaced the accents with LED bright whites, (which work fine aside from the blinking LED when not on) but the H7's wont work, I know none of the wiring is damaged, Ive checked Fuse 16 and 26 in the engine fuse panel (which were for front low beams) both are fine. Im going to guess it has something to do with the aforementioned code clearing necessity, I just dont want the dealer to give me shiat about changing my bulbs.
These are the bulbs I can see in the headlamp, not the ones behind the projector, didnt touch those. I replaced an H7 with an H7. Not that it makes a difference but I also changed my H3 foglight bulbs, and they work fine, its just these that dont. (not my car just a pic I borrowed)

I have the same problem. Except mine have never worked. The bulbs work fine. Just not in the Saab. I was told these lights were disabled in the U.S.. They are actually highbeams that come on with the Xenon Highbeams. I don't now if this is true or not. It just seems weird to have bulbs in there when you can't use them.

Well mine definately worked, then I took them out and replaced them and now they dont work, and neither do the factory bulbs now when I put them back in. Ill hit up the dealer Tuesday, see what they say.

The H7 Bulb is your High Beam and for Flashing....the Xenon (DS2) is your low beam. The Parking/City light is a 5W5, that and the Xenon should be on when your Normal (No DRL's Disabled). The H7 will come on when you hit the Highs or Flash.
Put resistor packs on your LED's and they will stop flashing. Last edited by JonV; 27-05-07 at 02:11 PM. |

Ok now Im really confused.
Ok after I had my DRL's de-activated, and before I changed anything, these lights would be on if I had my "parking" or headlights on, now they wont come on either way.....HOWEVER, I can put my brights on and they work, but they wont remain on like the originally did w/o having the brights activated, and my SID still says Right/Left Front Position Headlight failure. |

In my case, I couldn't use the high beam and fog light after I had installed aftermarket HID and changed Tech II option..
But, I'm satisfied because HID light is good enough to flash on the road at the night.. Last edited by dept2; 28-05-07 at 02:44 AM. |

I have Bi Xenon and have the shutter open when I flash someone or use my high beams. Still don't know why my H7 Halogen don't work. Something tells me I need to disable DRL's.
