D930 NGT Classic 900 T16S - was it you?

D930 NGT on the M5 heading North between J13 (Dursley) and J12 (Quedgeley,Gloucester) yesterday (28 April) afternoon at about 6pm.

Big waves once they realised that a driver of a 9-5 could actually be a Saab enthusiast

Lovely flat-front 900, in black or a very deep colour.

It does surprise them doesn't it?

This also reciprocates though; in Leamington today a 5 door late eighties T16 [i'm sure I saw a turbo reference somewhere] in shiney black went by me, mutual exchange of nods and smiles - I was in a late nineties 900 in black with all glass and the roof down admiring the world aroud me; he seemed initially surprised that I was paying attention to his car, on the face of it an excellent example.
Second smile/nod later exchanged with a guy in a early 9-3 convertible today, this was a spotless silver example that was lower than any other of this chassis I've ever seen - slammed cruiser .

Then this crackin' blonde bit of stuff in a black 9000 pulls up and kisses me, but that's OK as it was my wife .

For me it was a good 'Saab' day.

In other news, I SaabWaved to at least 4 Saabs today, including a black viggen and nice black vert, but got none in return.

I pulled up alongside a C900 Convertible in Le Mans Blue, same as mine, at a traffic light. There was a good-looking 30-something blonde driving, so I put down the window and said "Nice car."
"Thank you," she said. "And yours too."
I revved my engine. She revved hers. Some passers-by turned their heads. The lights changed, I sped away leaving her miles behind, and then discovered my window wouldn't go back up.

I had a good saab day yesterday too - fitted my 3" exhaust with minimal bleeding and swearing, and got tailed briefly by a 9-5 with a black out grille - obviously I got the Aero spooling and then the guy turned off... all down the previous dual carriageway I was trying to get a better look at the 9-5 but there was a f£$%^*g taxi matching my speed no mater how much I slowed down to get alongside.

Anyway if black 9-5 guy who followed black 9000 aero guy towards ashton-on mersey on friday night is on here
Hello! You have a really very nice grille there... (I now have a backbox!!!)

Today I am going to be replacing my gearknob, and figuring out the Gliptone Leather restorer/scuff remover (as recommended by RetroCars magazine when it was still published)

i too had a nice saab day yesturday, went out in the vert, top down wive by my side nothing to do just wine away the hours then after a couple of hours just cruisin' we stopped at a pub and had a couple of pints
