My coolant leaks pretty fast (1L/wk). i can't observe anywhere leaking by just looking at the pipes. Initially i thought it is a headgaskit problem. but the leak goes on even i wasn't driving for several days; on the motor way, it didn't show much of leakage. Plus there is no smoke coming out of the exhaust. So i guess the HG is not a major problem. So would anyone be able to tell me what is the easiest way to find out where is the leakage?
Agree with Angus(he beat me to it,lol) I have the horrid pictures of these items going/gone. my wife's vert was like this for 2yrs just losing a little and eventually h/g repair and it looked like that was the problem with the gasket gone and corrosion inthe head(welded and machined) but 6mnts later started/still losing water, and found the drain block had a hole/corrosion (scarry) about 8 mnths ago, and then it started leaking again, and this time it was the central area core plug, poked the screwdriver straight through the rusted plug, so check for water on the ground under manifold, and if you want the pics pm your email address
Please send me those pictures. Here is my email address: icemancc@gmail.com
Will do a check in the next a few days. Cheers!!!
