You actually should be fine....but as the craigs post has expired can't tell what you would be getting...you can check genuine saab for how to install their kit. http://www.genuinesaab.com/psi/files3/T793openAirInstall.pdf

Overall it is a fun change to the car - you get to hear a lot more of the turbo spool. Personally I went to a dry filter over the K&N oiled...but the theory is the same.

If you have a T5 (1999)...

Get a 3" air intake hose from a auto parts store. Something like this: http://www.ebay.com/bhp/air-intake-hose

Get a 3" plastic plumbing or electrical pipe "end" adapter that the hose will fit on. You may need a thin gasket if the hose is too big. Something like this but in 3" size. Look for a nut or female piece that fits the threaded side: http://guide.alibaba.com/shop/male-adapter-2-1-2-in-conduit-pvc-5140109_32054370.html. Home depot/Lowes is a good place to try different adapters and find one to fit your air hose.

Cut the snout off your airbox. Cut the hole large enough to fit the threaded end of the adapter in. Screw it in, or if you have a giant nut, use that to mount it. Install. Hook up the air pipe and run it down behind the headlight. No lower.

Get a K&N filter. Install in airbox.

Done
