Default Post pics of your winter setup!

Winter is bearing down on us, for some it has already hit.

I'm curious to what people are running in the winter, whether it's fully stock, switched rims, or whatsover.

For me, I was going to run my stockers but after two weeks, I couldn't stand the looks of it and one rim was bent so now it's back to the other setup.

Much better...

nice wheel, also nice car and beautiful countryside picture.
in Spain don't use to change the wheels for winter season, most of the people uses wheel chains or spikes-spider easy to assembly by an office lady.

The photo is from late December, 2008. I anticipate changing into snow tires/wheels between December 1-15 or when the low temperatures are less than 38 degrees (4C) or so or the high temperatures are 49 or lower (9 C).

( Okay, not really. Those are off the ice-racer, not the Saab. But I did almost buy an $800 Saab to ice-race the other day. )

Was about to say... studs are only legal in a few states and I wouldn't imagine illinois would be one of them

I drove 4 hours to Michigan yesterday to buy a set of OEM rims with Goodyear winter tires and the TPMS sensors. The seller bought them from his dealer last year and sold his Aero (the buyer didn't want them). He tried unsuccessfully to sell them on Ebay twice.

I bought them for $600 cash and they're like new!!

I drove to Detroit afterward and went to the casino before driving home. A long day but well worth it. I thought they were the same rims on my car, but I was wrong (and don't care either).

How did the casino go?

Spent a good $100. Played some slots, drank a couple of beers and viewed the people. I wanted to play some Blackjack but the tables stayed pretty busy. They had several other card games that I've never heard of like fortune telling. Kind of boring there by myself. Thanks for asking.

Nice, nice...I was hoping for something like you made the $600 back and it was like you never spent it.

Okay, I finally took real pictures of the car with winter wheels on it.

My wife hates the Viking wheels ( it's her car ) but she loves the Michelin X-ices, so she puts up with them. I love the wheels

Somehow the Vikings seem very appropriate as snow tire wheels. And look good too!

The one chosen word would be such that the valve stem is in the lower half, under the Saab center cap when viewed upright.

Oops, I've just proven that I am too compulsive and have crossed the line of insanity!
