hi guys & gals
i have a 1999 95 se 2.3, the manual says to run it on 95 octane(premium),will it make a difference if i run it on on a higher octane? can any one enlighten me i have run it on premium for 18 months.i did manage to change the oil pressure switch what a job. cheers kev |

I dont think higher will be an issue ,lower might ,depending how much.All we can get in canada is 94 or lower unless you buy racing fuel or mabe AV. gas.

Well that's interesting. I've got a 1999 95 SE 2.3 too, which is Low Pressure Turbo (LPT), and I've used regular, 87 Octane in it since it was new. I'll have to check my owners manual. Vern

I use High Octane whenever possible. Approx 10% better economy and much better performance. Even with higher price, the maths tells me its actually cheaper to run
