2003 Saab 9-3 will not start after changing battery.

Battery died! Neighbor tried jumping it off. Crossed the positive/negative cables and fried the battery. Replaced with new but now it won't start at all. Dash display lights up but will not turn over. Doesn't even try. SID display does not come on. Any help would be great. Locksmith wants $300 to replace the Ignition switch. Should I??

Welcome to SC..

they connected the neg to the pos & pos to neg on your car or connected the battery the wrong way round..check all fuses & hope(take a miracle) they've not fried any of your electronics..

Dash lights up and windows work Radio and head lights do not come on ? The ignition was stuck on lock and our son force turned it to on and start. We hear a single click sound under hood when we turn key to start position
