This is not an advertisement just a general enquiry to see if it would be worth me buying one, basically i've seen a pipe bender for around £200 that can cope with upto 3" piping, how much interest would there be in people being able to obtain upto 3" aluminium & steel prebent tubing from a friendly SC based source?
(Mods if i get a good responce i'll then look at advertising properly, this is just to see how long it would take me to cover the cost/if there's enough interest to warrant buying one........ ).
Received this morning so will have a play tonight:cheesy: Don't worry you can all come around for tea scones and cucumber sandwiches when i'm a millionaire pipe bender .
Just a thought but can you make a rear section pipe that does not take the long way around the rear wheel?
That must be a slow point in the gas getting out and am wondering if it would improve the performance at all, the rear only has 80mm of travel and i have seen flexible steel pipes, I am wondering if i can use this?
Si i have been hunting for pipes all week and i have had no luck, can you bend copper pipes? i can get 63mm copper pipe that am considering using but they are way to strong to bend by hand or foot;oops:
Dunno, i've got to experiment a bit, you definitely cant bend pipes just by chucking them on and bending, the machine just crushes the pipe, so will prob get some sand at the weekend and give it another go.
I'd guess it will take a bit of messing about to get the best results, may even end up buying an oxycetylene torch to pre heat it before bending.
I'll no dowt keep you updated.
