I feel privileged to be 1st. 166,280 miles, changed timing belt twice, replaced water pump...rest has been normal maintenace. I love my Saab. I wasn't first after all...fourth, but still feel privileged!

Cleve:

How do we vote for our second car? I get the "you've already voted" and the results... I can't fill it out a second time.

EDIT: Doh, just figured out that I should have voted them simultaneously, not sequentially.

I just put on over 35-k miles and hit 180-k miles and with the initial cost of the car at $1-k and a used transmission at $500, the cost per mile is quickly approaching $.04/mile on the initial investment. The expense for gas is around $.095/mile, so overall, I'm around $.135/mile... Ron

My 1997 900se 2.0t has 177,500 as of this week. Still runs and looks good, but soon to be retired to second car status in a month or two, perhaps take a well deserved break in a garage.

Just turned 135,000 on 99 9-3SE.
Two new O2 sensors, a new thermostat, two new coolant temp sensors a week ago and I'm back to 28.7 mpg combined. You just have to love Saab.

276,500 on my 1997 900 S.

She is showing signs of severe wear and the body is picking up clear coat loss, some front bumper damage, etc.. So sad. I get 32 mpg in the winter and about 35 in the summer. Now too many repairs need to be made and time to put this old and faithful relative to bed. Soon.
