I was changing my oil and somehow the battery had died. When I was trying to start it I could here a clicking coming from under the dash on the passenger side, and from under the hood. When I got the car started after 15 seconds or so the fan started to blow air but wouldnt shut off when I tried to shut it down. The fan is even blowing when the car is shut off with the key removed. Has anyone ever heard of this, or what i need to do to fix this?
The clicking is the recirc motor (the cog to be precise) and it'll need to be replaced.
The fan on constantly is almost certainly the speed control sensor located under the fan unit (behind the glovebox). That too will need to be replaced.
Mine does random clicking, not like something is broken, more like it's trying to collect cabin readings or something. I was going to make a thread asking if this is normal?
