Default 16" '5-Spoke Open' ALU-57 Wheels

I see these for sale on CL and here in SC Classifieds often, sometimes for quite cheap. Are they just not that appealing in general ? For myself I found them too staid in appearance so I got rid of mine.

FWIW, I saw an M-B C-class with exact same wheels (MB center caps of course). So is this a somewhat generic design made by a 3rd-party ?

I actually don't mind those wheels. Better than the stockers that came on my car.

They aren't real bad but are a bit thick in the spoke. J-Rod's have a nice open look.

Me? I took the 08/09 17" Aero wheels off my car when I had snows mounted on an older pair of Alu 39's from an 05 9-5 and with their turbine look, I just left them on. I like them better than the Aero's and at the price of mounting snows and the fact I'm not happy with the Michelin Pilot's, why bother?

I personally never cared for those. I feel like they are just reaching for a dual five spoke look, but it looks way too crowded. The 'stockers' single five spoke is more appealing to me. However, the BBS Rk II dual five spoke, is by far the most appealing five spoke imo. But being a c900 lover, I'll never think anything looks better than a set of super aeros

Have them on mine, hate them. They really don't fit the car's look at all

They make my lowered and louder 9-3ss look like a malibu that's trying too hard

Horrible, horrible wheels. Should never have been put on the car. Put an 06 and an 05 side by side, the difference is startling.

It's actually not dedicated to the 9-3. I've seen the same design on a CL ad (which mentioned Saab) where the wheels had a different center cap, like Pontiac or Chevy.

That could explain how such a miserable wheel ended up on a Saab. I have never liked them, either.

I think they are "ours" and will fit the Cobalt and a few other GM cars.

One fellow in the classified is probably taking this very hard since his have been for sale with no nibbles. He want's $250.

I think he'll have to do better than that. I've bought two sets of the BBS 7 spoke and never paid more than $225 with good snow tires. And I like those rims even with regular tires.

Yeah, I'm not a fan. Would be good for winter tires though.

The "snowflake" rims are pretty goofy looking but for winter I could live with them.
