So maybe Saab will be sold as a discount car on a 15 year old platform that has lots of DNA from a 25 year old car. What a marvelous end to a cool little Swedish car maker.

At least we can still buy the 9-5 under the Opel name, and enjoy it in spirit through other GM cars.

Saab has a brand loyalty that now falls behind Cadillac. In 1991 Saab had a brand loyalty that was second only to Mercedes.

There is only innuendo flying around, there is nothing to know nor say...

Why would Saab be sold on 15 year old platform, when we have already -1 year old platform car not even made yet but ready to go? :p

The word is the Opel guys are pissed off because the 9-5 drives and handles so much better than the Insignia. Don't settle for half-baked Opel you need a Saab!

I can only hope that Saab will be saved... However, there will always be a Saab in my driveway that's for sure.

It ain't over 'til she sings:

And we haven't seen any signs of her around Trollhattan yet. HOWEVER, Lady Maud was there yesterday, and apparently good things came out of those meetings:

I dunno. When I think of state aid to auto industry... I think British Leyland

Swedish IF Metall doesn't seem so militant and screwed in the head, but it might just be that Swedish rationality

I hope Saab a long and prosperous future. The current time is stressful for the employees and enthusiasts.

Saab Saab Saab!
