with a really wide of rim and a larger off set you may run into a problem where the tire will be hitting your bumper or rear part of the fender when you turn. and with it further out, the wheel will turn differently too and will probably change how the car handles. for better or for worse i yet to know.

GOOD NEWS!!!

I was able to find the exact rim as one in two more sizes! Took me about three holurs and a ton of calls...

But a 18X8.5 and and a 17x8.5 and both in a +56

and with the adapter would be around +31mm With you guys are telling me should work just fine ! I'm excited

Gonna order one test wheel pretty soon, I also Have 215/40/18 For test fitting and if that clears the 215/35/18 Rubberband should defiantly work !

I'll Keep you in the loop, thanks for you help guys!

17x8.5 at +30ish will be extremely tight to the spring perch depending on how wide the wheel truly is, regardless of tire. id go a tad larger on the spacer. at +27 i could not fit my pinky between the rim and perch.

you will also need to remove the fender liner or it will clearance itself (read: you will rub a hole through it)

Ok, perhaps you can help since the ng and some newer 9-3 rims match up.

I too was going for an old school look and wanted the traditional Cragar 5 spoke with the dark gray spokes w polished centers, or an old school rally look with the Minilite or Panasport wheels.

This dealer has helped me through some odd situations like mounting old HRE and making them work with Vette wheel sensors, but this time it was just a flat "nope, nothing will work" and he is an American Racing/Cragar dealer. Of course, he just may be breaking even with the time on some of my stuff so he is just politely giving me a wave off?

You can do, It you really just need to get them custom drilled, There is one big issues and thats weight.... Your looking @ 38+lbs per wheel... thats ****ing HEVAY, and the other company that does alloy wheels are in 300-600 per wheel range.

And with custom offset steelies and custom bolt patterns I was looking @ 200+ per wheel.

I found a very suitable 5 spoke hat will work just fine though

Thanks. the mini-lite would have taken off weight and I really don't want to get into machining and such. If, on the outside chance I take the car to the new mo-sports track here I want something I can trust.

Refer to my viggen picture, it will be past flush. If you truly want flush you need a narrower rim for the front.
