ACC Recirculate Busted and I am Tired

My ACC is stuck in the closed position meaning that I get no fresh air and on a cold night, my windows are quick to fog up. While I do have an appointment with the dealer, I would rather find out if anybody has had this problem and if there is a quick fix. I am uncertain how easy it is to access whatever blocks the air passage.



If this helps, when you press the Re-circulate button on the ACC to try to get it to open, it just make a continuous clicking noise for about 5 seconds, sound like the noise your old bike made when you were a kid and attached playing cards to go through the spokes so that you got that clicking noise when riding down the street....just not as fast a click. Clearly the device is getting the signal to open and it is trying to, but it is just stuck in the open position. From outside the care, it sounds a bit like it is located just below the wipers, but sound travels so I did not want to tear that apart in my attempt to find some a**hole squirrel's acorn that he forgot there one night after drinking a bit to much antifreeze.
