Default West coast transmission shop?

No more lurking...

I'm looking for a recommendation on a manual transmission rebuilder on the west coast, hopefully California (yes, I've searched extensively before composing this). Car is a creampuff '85 900S. I gambled and lost on an '89 junkyard transmission. The one I pulled worked great except for the dreaded pinion whine. The replacement grinds, shakes, sticks in reverse, synchros are shot, etc. What I get for not pulling all the covers first and looking inside.

I'd consider rebuilding it myself except for my negative time availability situation. I know about the ones from Saabsite and Eriksson Industries, but I'm hoping to save some shipping costs at the least.

I looked at the specialist listings database, but didn't see anything there about transmission specialists.

Thanks for any tips!
