New wheels

Hello chaps.
It's been a while since I've posted, thought I'd give u guys an update.
I've had her lowered on eibachs, shocks and springs all round...didn't quite like the look with the stock 16" wheels. I managed to get hold of some second hand viggen rims, they needed a bit of a refurb, so at the same time I got them to finish them in 'anthracite', I love the look, they go with the black bodywork a treat...
Stuck some eagle f1's on the rims, 225 45 17s, had no problems with rubbing, did the appropriate wheel arch mod...I think it helps having a 3 door, the rear arch being slightly bigger methinks.
I've also painted the grill black, and meshed it, found some really nice hexagonal galvanised steel, see what you think...I also put a cheeky turbo badge on there aswell, subtle i think.
Also swapped the wooden knob for a drop of CF...it's all about saving weight, eh!

looks great!! i that anthracite definitely looks awesome with the black paint, and the grill is very clean. nice work where'd you find the CF shifter insert?

I got the whole knob on ebay. I think the guy bought it but never got round to fitting it. I don't think they're sold anymore, that's why I saw and had to win it!
It took a while to get right...sawing the plastic off from the gear stick, then I had to file the inside of the new knob down loads, before it would go on right. It had to go down far enough to make sure the reverse lockout would still work...
I'd say I was at it for over 2 hours, the knob fitting that is...as opposed to the 20 mins the instructions say!

bramftm: that's exactly what I was thinking of doing. Love the look of yours. Any idea of the % tint you've got front and back?
RE: the drivers and passengers window, do they have to take the whole glass out? or can they do it in situ...its just that I hate letting anyone touch the car who doesn't know what they're doing!

The mesh was from a company called RS, I don't know if they have a division in the states? rswww.com, search for perforated steel sheet...They do all sorts of hole shape and size. The open area for the hexagonal sheet is something like 75%, so you get the look and it doesn't block much airflow at the same time!

Very nice! I really like the shift knob! The only negative comment I have is the turbo badge, im not really sure I like it centered. I think I would offset it some to one of the sides. Still, it looks cool, nice job! SO who re-finished your wheels? and how much did that run you?
