the drivers vent closes by itself. it seems to be unbalanced so that it it drawn to the closed position.
I thought that maybe if I could get inside the vent and tinker around, i may be able to sort it out. but how exactly do you get into the vent when it is surrounded by the wood fascia? |

you need to remove the wood fascia, to do this you need to remove the, gearstick surround, all the switches, the two spacers between the switches the screws from behind the spacers, the heater panel, the radio,the two screws from behind the radio, if they aren't there then they are behind the little pocket below, the dash should now pull out from the bottom and unhook from the top, fefit is reversal of removing exept the heater vents should be placed into the ducts first then when the dash is back in the vents can be pulled into place.
