Default 2013 v9.0 Map Update DVD Problem

I purchased and recieved a DVD update for my 2007 9-5 navigation system from the GM/Navteq site. When the DVD arrived today I put it in and nothing happens. The disc came with no instructions so I shot an email to Navteq and I'm waiting for help. Can anyone help me out with this? The map is a 2013 v9.0
and the GM part # is 22944166. Thanks

I tried leaving it in for half an hour and I still get the same screen "Please insert a Map Disc". My car was built in Sep. 2006 but was sold as a 2007 and is so indicated with a "7" in position #10 of the VIN. When I ordered the DVD I noticed they did not offer a disc for the 2006 9-5. I'm now thinking I may have a 2006 Navigation unit in my car. Do the 2006 and 2007 have a different Nav system? I contacted Navteq and they gave me an RMA# so I can send the disc back and get another one. I also contacted a GM/Saab dealer and they said if it's a 2007 9-5, the disc should work and no software updates are needed for Nav System.

Ok..... So I got my replacement DVD from Navteq and same thing, the Nav system will not read the disc. Can anyone recommend a top notch Saab dealer in the USA that I can call and get help with this? I called Tampa Saab in my area and they don't seem to know anything about the Nav systems in the 2006-2009 9-5's. I'm thinking there is a software update needed to get the new disc to work but Tampa Saab can't confirm and didn't sound like they were very interested in helping me.

I may be wrong about this but I thought I read something that led me to believe that you have to install new firmware to the navigation though an earlier dvd. The 2008/2007 gm disc. I might have have "acquired" the correct one and I mean to see if it works in a day or so. I'll report back when I do

Are you saying I may need to install a 2007-2008 disc first to update the firmware then install my new 2013 disc?

I found this post at Saabscene.com and it seems to confirm your info. My original DVD part # is 12767414 (2006)
"Yes, the latest Landrover (RR) DVD works fine, or a good quality copy !
The Saab 95 denso navi system needs a firmware update if the latest DVD the unit has operated with has a part nr equal to or lower than saab part nr. 12767415 (2005/2006 DVD)
All units from 2005/2006 first need that update otherwise the latest DVD does not work.
I have tested this many times and have helped Saab owners from 2005/ 2006 map data to 2011 maps including the firmware update !
The 2011/2012 maps also work on the kenwood dv3200 unit of the 2004/2005 Saabs , without any need for firmware update.
Let me know if there are 95-ers who want to get up to date."

"If the latest disk the unit has run with has saab part nr 12767415, then it first needs the firmware update,
which is available on the DVD''s with the higher part nr 12771885 and some higher (2007/2008) The 2009 2010 versions do not have that firmware update anymore and they, as well as the latest 2011/2012 version will then not work.
Actually the firmware update makes it possible to us the latest Landrover DVD's as Saab has stopped selling updates as far as I know!!
I have helped many with getting up to date on the older units back to 2005.
If you want support, pls send me a pm or private mail"
