Well I used the model selector to choose a 1990 900 turbo. The website says the intercooler won't fit that.

In my experience the Chinese aren't too bad at making these aluminum set pieces.

HOWEVER - it is up to you to make it work with your vehicle. Don't assume you will get a kit or that they really give a sh1p.

It's not a bad way to get an intercooler but be very careful to measure precisely the space you have available and then order something which will fit.

Also consider sticking with the factory intercooler. My car is fast and I didn't spend a penny on tuning. Just removed the wastegate hose, installed a knock LED, set the timing and the fuel to good settings and I will be changing the tyres and the gearbox soon.

Do a search in here for a thread I started about my FMIC install...mine looks exactly like this one, I think the dimensions are the same, so my writeup could help you decide...

Here ya go:

It's actually a little shorter than that one, but could still work. It's the width that causes all the problems...

That's what she said.

Couldn't you buy one which was a better size? I thought you could get whatever kind of intercooler you wanted these days?

SaabJunkie was running one that's 18"x9"x2.5", looks perfectly sized. There's a few pics of his install in my thread. My FMIC is more rectangular-shaped, his a lot less so, seems to fit between those tow hooks much better.

Yonaka type 6:

It's a tight fit, and you still need to do some cutting (inner bumper pads), but it looks factory now. I can run in excess of 232 WHP too, but need a stronger clutch and $$ for a scanwest built transmission.

You can search this forum for the member "white65", he details a nice list of parts. There are more pics somewhere on the NY Saab club too.
