Trunk Lock Actuator Removal and Installation

Other than unbolting the actual actuator from the trunk lid on my Saab 900S 4-door, the unclipping the white plactic clip of the actuator rod from the lock mechanism seems daunting. I'm sure this is quite simple if you know the tribal knowledge handed down from the centuries.

Does someone who's done this before give me some hints on how to remove and re-install the lock actuator from the trunk lid without breaking the white plastic clip off?

the actuator is easy to remove and the white nylon nut is just a fixed on the shaft, and the little clip will just clip off with a prise, removed quite a few never had a problem

Finally installed the replacement actuator (see photo). It was a simple as just prying away the white clip and then snapping it back with an easy press.
