F25 or GM55 Transmission

How do I tell which 5 speed tranny I have? Preparing to do the output shaft seals.

Why would my tag answer all the questions??

My tag is just like the one above except its a 503, FM55 503.

Then, that's the transmission that you need to seals for. It just has different gear ratios than mine. Nick, at genuinesaab.com has a chart of the ratios... Ron

The problem is, all listings only list a GM55 or a F25, they say nothing about a FMXX

Then, look at www.eeuroparts.com, enter your model, your year, get the OEM part number and order the axle seals. I don't see what the problem is, unless you want to cross reference to cheaper GM seals, which a google search will do... Ron
