Default bcpr6es11 or bcpr7es11 plugs

NKG 6's or 7's ?? seems to be some debate on this from my research. I think its about heat range. Do I keep them or get 7's.

I just bought some 6's for my 2000 T5 which always pings a little. Maybe I have to lower the recommended 1.1mm gap to .9mm as well.

Cheers M.

Running a stage 4 custom nordic tune here on my 2002 9-3 Aero and I use the 7s with a gap of 0.9mm and it works fine.

Thanks SA, mines very standard unfortunately.

FF yep its always pinging under load using the 95 rating in Oz. Better with 98 Shell vpower ect but it should perform well using 95.

It will be interesting if dropping the gap dowm from the recommended 1.1mm to .9mm makes any difference.

Cheers M.

Spark plug gap shouldnt have anything to do with pre-detionation, since the fuel/air mixture is igniting before the spark plug even has a chance to fire.
