Default 97 900s crank trigger wheel

is the standard trigger wheel 36-1 on a 97 saab 900s 2.3L non turbo? does anyone know how many teeth back the sensor is on the wheel when is on TDC. I assume you the only way to see it is to take the oil pan off is that correct?

It'd be a bit awkward, but there's no reason you could not remove the CPS, mark the first break on the trigger wheel and then count as you roll the engine over till the mark re-appears.

Probably easier than dropping the pan.

I guess that where im confuesed. I can not just look down and see the trigger wheel. The crank sensor is under the manifold next to the flywheel. the only way would be to pull the oil pan to see and count. am i looking in the wrong spot? there is not a wheel on the front of the motor on the crank pulley. i purchased a Gotech ecu and am trying to hook it up. I have a manuel but it says nothing regarding the trigger wheel.

Mounted on the crankshaft is a slotted ring with 58 ribs.
