Default import changes to Canada?

Hi there,

I'm thinking about importing a 9-4X Aero into Canada and I know there are some changes that need to be done. Looking at the dash I see that it's very similar to the wifes new 9-5 Aero and pseudo "hard wired" for mph only. Has anyone looked into this or done it yet? We can't get 9-4's in Canada and with the turn of events there's no chance we ever will so it looks like I'll have to do this the hard way.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Bones...

I was told that we can change units to metric, so alternative speedometer will work just fine and show km/h

First you have to confirm that the vehicle is eligible to be imported to Canada. There is a list at RIV. It may not be because it was never sold here.

There are a bunch of the areo's on ebay motors going for like 30 ish. Most dealers in the states will bend over backwords to help you out. I looked into getting a s4 before and it was going to cost me like 800 bucks.

The big thing is the daytime running lights.

Find out first if it can be imported and then what the requirements are.

When I imported my 2005 9-5 Aero SportCombi, there was nothing to do but enable the DRL's (and that was easy).
