Warrant issued for Vladimir Antonov

Lithuania issued a European warrant for the arrest of Vladimir Antonov and his partner Raimundas Baranauskas.

Hundreds of millions are missing from two banks they controlled.

Latvian finance official Janis Brazovskis said the money was used in part to take over Saab. Antonov is said to have siphoned off $100 million in the failed bid for Saab.

My guess is that is exactly why Victor Muller has been distancing himself from recent talks as has been reported, perhaps waiting for another shoe to drop since he has said in the Dutch press that he took money from Antonov to buy Saab.

The Lithuanian Olympic Team may not be able to compete because the assets were held in these banks and only insured to $100,000.
